Welcome to Boy Scout Troop 230!

Scouts BSA Troop 230, Yardley, PA

Meetings: Every Tuesday 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM

Location & Sponsor: St. Ignatius Church, Yardley, PA.

We are a proud “boy-led” troop who attend Pennsbury, Neshaminy, Council Rock as well as private, religious, and home schools. 40 scouts work as a team enjoying trips, special events, and community service projects.

Scouts: We have diverse interests. We are football players, swimmers, baseball players, robotics competitors, band members ... regardless of personal interests we come together in scouting. Kudos to the 150 of our scouts who have earned the rank of Eagle over the last 51 years!

Parents: Troop leaders are supported by 25 moms and dads who make up our Scoutmaster Council and Troop Committee.

The Great Outdoors: An extremely active all-year camping and hiking program brings us outside to develop skills and friendships.

Amazing Activities: Besides summer camp, highlights include touring Washington, DC and NYC, climbing at GoApe!, camping and hiking Gettysburg, hiking the Appalachian Trail and Yosemite National Park, canoeing down the Delaware, white-water rafting the Lehigh, Caving, hiking Valley Forge, and attending our annual ski trip. The list goes on ... recently, we have worked towards our disability awareness, first aid, hiking, biking, wilderness survival, backpacking, engineering, welding, woodworking, American labor, communications, scholarship, entrepreneurship, family life, golfing, and environmental science merit badges. Six of our scouts sailed for a week in the Florida Keys, and nine in the Bahamas!

Troop 230 is part of the Tamanend District in the Washington Crossing Council and is a welcoming and supportive environment. Come visit us!

Wreath Fundraiser - ACTION NEEDED

Posted on Nov 2 2025 - 4:13pm

Every year the troop hosts 1 fundraiser and we traditionally sell holiday wreaths.  Every family is expected to participate in this fundraiser.  The boys sell at least the minimum number of wreaths to friends, family and neighbors  and submit the proceeds to the troop.  If a family does NOT want to do this they can opt out and submit the "buyout amount" of $175 to the troop.  Every Scout is expected to participate by taking a shift to sell at the table sales at either Commonplace Reader or Church.  Eagle Scout Candidates who have had their Scoutmaster Conference and submitted paperwork to Council are exempt from this sale!
